Familiarize yourself with the various types of housing available: Single family, town home, condo, multi unit. 


Make a list of top priorities you're looking for in a property.  This will help save time and money by not looking at properties that aren't a good fit for you.


When you find an acceptable house, write an offer based on information you have acquired.
